Foggy Row 2.25.17
This was billed as a training row for our annual Snow Row race next weekend in Hull, MA. We were down one rower but headed out and went upriver hugging the shoreline and back which was just fine.
Notice near the end of our row there was a rainbow forming, or as Chuck said, "A fogbow!" It was a little thing as far as rainbows go and only stretched from the east side of the harbor in New Bedford to Pope's Island and no further, before moving away and disappearing quickly.
Next, our job was to launch one boat already on a trailer and load it onto another. (We don't know why, we just did what we were told because the club prez said we had to!) We ran into a problem reloading the boat onto its trailer, a skid board was out of alignment and Dave, who was wearing his very fancy while boots (think Nancy Sinatra here) went into the water, then nearly up to his waist... to line up the boat. He had our full support. The trailer/boat switch was completed more or less as planned, Dave got his very fancy white boots cleaned...and more...and we went home for breakfast.
Oh, don't even ask what that stuff was that Dave was gingerly trying to walk around in his wet stocking feet back to his car....
