Our Rowing team, the Gray Buzzards, participated in a rowing event in Wellfleet, MA, at Mayo Beach on Saturday, Sept 24. We brought the Beetle, a wooden whaleboat owned by the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Bill, one of our team members, who grew up in Truro, afterwards served as tour guide as we headed straight to the Old Colony Tap in Provincetown. Later, Bill and and his wife Barbara, hosted some of us overnight at their cottage in Truro. The next morning, Sunday, Bill took us all off-roading through the dunes leading out to Race Point, the furthermost point of Cape Cod’s National Seashore.
